Third Wave Of Feminism - Feminist Epistemology And Feminist Scientific Philosophy.

Feminist epistemology may take many forms, including feminist empiricism, postmodern epistemologies, and global feminist epistemologies, to name a few.

Epistemology is the study of knowledge; it is significant to feminists because power relations based on gender, racism, class, and other factors may determine what qualifies as true and who counts as a knower.

In a similar vein, feminist philosophy of science raises the issue of whether bias may be introduced into scientific techniques and inquiries that are investigated or approved by the scientific community.

  • The whole concept of objectivity or neutrality in knowledge is called into question by feminist epistemology and scientific philosophy.
  • Some feminist epistemologies reimagine objectivity to account for the knower's social position, gender, and race
  • Others believe that objectivity is impossible and should not be our epistemological aim.
  • The knower's subjectivity is always present in knowledge claims and the study of knowledge.
  • Objectivity is a fundamental value in traditional science, and the scientific process is intended to maximize objectivity and control for extraneous effects.
  • The scientific method, according to feminists who question impartiality, is helpful but restricted. It represents a patriarchal perspective of the world and science.

The scientific process involves posing a question, formulating a hypothesis, conducting an experiment with controls, and drawing findings.

  • It also requires an experimental that is more or less secluded, as well as a scientist.
  • However, science is nearly usually done in a group, and feminist philosophers of science prefer to concentrate on this group of academics rather than on controlled, repeatable, isolated experiments.
  • What changes is how we ask questions and evaluate the data gathered, rather than the experiment itself.

The selection of research subjects is another aspect of feminist philosophy of science and feminist scientific studies in general.

  • This is a problem that has received greater attention in the public media since studies of heart disease have traditionally been performed on males, suggested daily vitamin intakes have always assumed a male body type as the norm, and illnesses that only affect women have been ignored.
  • These types of research are now much more balanced or explicitly state that results apply to just one sex type, thanks in part to the work of feminists in and out of the relevant professions.
  • Traditional epistemology's political components are revealed by feminist epistemology, which asserts overt links to politics.

In an essay titled "How is Epistemology Political?"Linda Alcoff concisely summarizes the relationship between politics and epistemology. (1993).

Politics and epistemology have three relationships, according to Alcoff.

The first is that epistemology develops as a result of certain social arrangements.

  • Who qualifies as an epistemologist and what is addressed in epistemological settings are determined by those in positions of power.
  • To put it another way, the strong in society confirm their social status by dismissing any claims to expertise made by individuals other than themselves.
  • This may be seen in the relationships between men and women, as well as between colonizers and colonized.
  • Folk wisdom or customary customs are contributed by the lower caste, but not knowledge.
  • Traditional assertions of knowledge or reason are sexist and racist in this manner.

The second relationship is one we've previously hinted at: the identification of theorists is epistemologically significant.

  • Although she is not referring to identity politics, Alcoff is implying that gender privilege influences how one thinks - everything from hypothesis formation to explanatory model parallels reflects a person's social position.

Finally, the consequences of knowledge are the subject of the third relationship.

  • Scientific and knowledge claims have a significant impact on society, and they often perpetuate the knower's position of privilege.
  • This method is used to explore how individuals can comprehend the perspective of others who are differently situated, in addition to the essential components of feminist epistemology.
  • This is especially significant in liberation studies since it encourages the previously privileged into liberation movements alongside the oppressed while also requiring an understanding of the oppressive environment.

A number of female epistemologists have questioned conventional epistemology's harsh dichotomy between reason and emotion.

  • To comprehend another's position, we must reject the binary: feeling is instructive, and reason without emotion is a relic of patriarchal epistemologies.
  • We acquire a better knowledge of people and their needs when we connect to one another with and through love.
  • In this paradigm, truth is not abandoned, but it does have a different meaning than conventional epistemology, which emphasizes perfect certainty.

When we make truth claims, we should keep in mind that they are founded in social and historical contexts.

We must also recognize that the linguistic systems that must be utilized to convey truth restrict or constrain it.

The Spirit of Freedom is The Spirit of Love

Re-posting this interesting excerpt seen on Intellectual Takeout ,

"All riches must finally fall into the gap between thoughts and things. Governed by mind but caught in matter, assets must afford an income stream that is expected to continue. The expectation may shift as swiftly as thought, but things, alas, are all too solid and slow to change. The kaleidoscope of shifting valuations, flashing gains and losses as it is turned in the hands of time, in the grip of 'news,' distributes and redistributes the wealth of the world far more quickly and surely than any scheme of the state.

The belief that wealth consists not chiefly in ideas, attitudes, moral codes, and mental disciplines but in definable static things that can be seized and redistributed — that is the materialist superstition. It stultified the works of Marx and other prophets of violence and envy. It betrays every person who seeks to redistribute wealth by coercion. It balks every socialist revolutionary who imagines that by seizing the so-called means of production he can capture the crucial capital of an economy. It baffles nearly every conglomerateur who believes he can safely enter new industries by buying rather than by learning them. It confounds every bureaucrat of science who imagines he can buy or steal the fruits of research and development.

Even if it wished to, the government could not capture America’s wealth from its 1 percent of the 1 percent. As Marxist despots and tribal socialists from Cuba to Greece have discovered to their huge disappointment, governments can neither create wealth nor effectively redistribute it. They can only expropriate and watch it dissipate. If we continue to harass, overtax, and oppressively regulate entrepreneurs, our liberal politicians will be shocked and horrified to discover how swiftly the physical tokens of the means of production dissolve into so much corroded wire, abandoned batteries, scrap metal, and wasteland rot."

~ George Gilder, 'Unleash the Mind'

Response,

Isn't it amazing how we fail to learn, or 'Unleash the Mind' as Gilder rightly put it, despite so many of these examples that remain lost and buried in the forgotten pages of history. The diverse values that make this country so unique and blessed, indeed are of a very personal Nature. Despite all the adversities including the shifting tides of globalization it is extremely difficult and close to impossible to shake or take something so personal away. Sadly, you only understand the meaning of what is dear and priceless when it is lost or when you have newly discovered what you have never had.....

This is another article I wrote a while ago relating to the same subject. I wanted to share some of these deeper sentiments and thoughts from around the world,

The Spirit of Freedom is The Spirit of Love

This is a response made to a very valid, interesting and mind opening note made by my friend Princess Erika de Krutova,

" I do not understand. America is so strong on freedoms. I have read your Constitution many times in an effort to incorporate some ideas and items into our country. How is it that freedoms can be taken away? Everyone in my country and almost all I know across Europe envy the American way of life and freedom it brings." - Princess Erika de Krutova

Here are some of the colorful and inspiring responses that were made.........

Sherry Lee: "Freedom cannot be taken away of heart mind and spirit but evil people empowered by satan want to enslave because that is the nature of the beast. They want to destroy happiness on the planet and light and fill every soul with terror. I have worked with these people. There is no logic, love or sanity in their universe. Only darkness. They create destruction. If they enslave a few they will enslave the world through advanced technology. I wrote a book about this. It is called 'In Satan We Trust'- Age of destruction. The devil gains whatever power he can. The foolish servants of the anti Christ dominate to get control. Anyone with half a brain knows this sick power won't stay in the hands of a few. It will spread and lead to world destruction unless it is stopped. This can't have a good outcome...."

Michael Scott:"Seems to be a combination of greed based economics and an evil need to change something established by a previous person in power. Freedom is a commodity it seems in so many ways and a country can go bankrupt in private and turn the tables of any constitution. There is much to say abou this. I am so glad you are asking. It is wonderful to hear you interest and passions......"

Simon Templar:"When considering American freedom you should start with the Declaration of Independence "We hold these truths as self evident..." Then move on to the Constitution. The Constitution is more of a document outlining how the national government should operate and the authorities it is granted. The first ten Amendments secure many of the freedoms that Americans enjoy. However, the power of big government is always a threat to those rights. The Constitution clearly states that those powers not enumerated within the document are reserved to the states and the people. However, the "New Deal" the federal government usurped many of those rights under the banner of the "Interstate Commerce Clause." The degradation of rights among the American people can be directly attributed to this one interpretation of the Constitution. Freedom is lost through fear. When fear enters our society the people willingly forfeit their freedoms so that they feel safe and secure. Therefore, you will always see some incident that creates fear in the people, economy problems, terrorism, etc. prior to the government removing rights and liberties. And always remember, there is the ideal of American freedom and the reality that those freedoms are always subject to a politician's interpretation........"

My comment and response to add to this excellent discussion,

I agree with several of the valid points made by Simon. I strongly believe that this ' Ideal of American freedom' is still truly well within the reach of all Americans regardless of the political environment, primarily because this ideal and the very Spirit of it is something deeply rooted in the hearts and minds of almost every generation of Americans to date. You must never alienate the fact that the capitalism we have here and the economy it supports has thrived alongside this freedom. Perhaps most of the doubts, wider issues, corruptions, fears and the rest of the problems we face today stem from the inherent flaws of capitalism, whether it is the uneven distribution of wealth, opportunities or the current ill health of our economy. For better or for worse, with time change is imminent and inevitable. As far as the ideas of corruption, uneven distribution of power and abuse of authority are concerned we are still in the infantile stages as compared to some of the well established cultural norms and structures elsewhere in the world. As long as Americans can still vote, Politicians can and will be replaced. As long as Americans still have a voice and some of the brave and pro active journalists continue to do their jobs we will always question, expose and root out any and every form of high handed corruption that threatens our freedom and liberty. Freedom is a rare quality, with many facets and dimensions. This ' Ideal of American freedom' is more than just a sentiment; it is immaculate and has no hypocrisy or so called evil infiltrating its definition since its birth several centuries ago. This is something emotional, psychological and most certainly something beautiful and spiritual that every American carries deep within his heart and mind. Psychologically, yes, I agree that fear comes and goes but most certainly it has a role and a part to play in giving us the window of opportunity to weed and root out some of the flaws and socio-economic problems we face today. Unlike many resentful perceptions, this Freedom is something very obvious in almost every generation of Americans. If you compare an average American with let's say someone else there is something very obvious, unique and special in the way he/she is thinking, evolving and functioning, that sense of independence has a very strong personal side to it, which has been handed down from generation to generation and can rub off very easily on someone who is open minded and open hearted enough to accept the truth that is innate and germane to this freedom and to this nation. Perhaps the only serious threat that many of us overlook and side step is the fact that if what we face today continues to dwell and grow, creating an environment where corruption, high handedness and abuse of authority prevails and instills growing fears in the hearts and minds of our young working men and women, the youth of this nation and the new generation, then we risk creating a generational gap and may fail to propagate this gift of freedom to our children and to our future. This to me is very unlikely because of the level of awareness that is currently widespread among the educated, enlightened and bright minds that serve as the wheels, the engine, the fuel and the driving force of this nation.

On a broader economic context, capitalism has its cycles, and just as they did during the great depression, the Americans of today will face and overcome this test with the strength of our Spirit. They will never fail to surge this nation forward and this ' Ideal of Freedom' is certainly somewhat of an untainted divine gift that serves as their God given right to continue to face their fears, problems and strive forward into a future filled with socio-economic and cultural evolution, opportunities to growth and prosperity for all, and the many countless gifts that come with carrying the ideal of Freedom in your heart. The Spirit of freedom will never fail those who have placed their trust in it. That's what it takes to be an American. This, my opinion, is the Truth that I have had to live with, the Truth that I have observed and the Truth that I continue to study.

It doesn't matter where you're from or where you're going, this sense of freedom will stick and stay with your Soul no matter what. As they say Freedom isn't free but it is worth so much more than all the gold in the world, and we treasure it with all our hearts and all our lives.

Many thanks to my friend Princess Erika de Krutova and her friends for providing such an insightful and eye opening discussion. I hope, pray and wish everyone the best of what the Spirit of freedom has to offer and give to all its children.

Love, Peace, Freedom, Best Wishes & Blessings to You All,

Freeing the Creative Flow ~ A Flourish at the Frontiers of the Human Condition

"If you have anything really valuable to contribute to the world, it will come through the expression of your own personality, that single spark of divinity that sets you off and makes you different from every other living creature." ~Bruce Barton

This is a comment in response to a post by my friend Nuria Fuente,

http://hedgemason.blogspot.com.es/2012/08/freemasonry-and-intellectual.html

Below is an Excerpt from the original entry,

"Radu Balanescu, a Grand Master of the Grand National Lodge of Romania, summed up what intellectuals do, why they are important, and what awaits any group that fails to generate them among its members, when he noted that "an elite intellectual, a thinker, is a person who restores to humanity its essence. This is the motive for the gigantic impact thinkers have had in the history of the world. This is the reason why collectivities deprived of great thinkers decay relatively quickly, pervert themselves and are eliminated toward the edge of human history."

Response,

'  Really well written, Nuria. Thank you for sharing this observation.

"Imposing The Edge of Human history"
as opposed to
"Exploring and Expanding the Frontiers of the Human condition"

The Reality of Redemption Requires Loving and Tireless hands

This curbing edge.. this limiting boundary is what is being defined in the United States of today. The trend has also had a more wider and adverse impact on the quality of life of the individual as it pertains to his/her Personal Freedoms and the most fundamental levels of both inner and outer Liberties.  Owed to several factors  both internal and external, many of the warnings that the founding fathers stated seem to have come alive to a significant extent. Sadly it is just a little too much to ask of such a collective to produce the likes of Jacques-Geoges Plumet, or Alain Bauer. The very Spirit of Creative flow has been hindered at its roots to create an increasingly dependent and servile society with an equally inhuman sense of social order. Every Human life is precious, meaningful, gifted and beautiful. Granting this boundless attribution and meaning to an individual is the only harmonious way to ensure the health, growth, evolution and significance of a greater collective comprised of such individuals.

Free men are attributed with an essential and kind sense of hospitality, mutual respect and a voluntary desire to preserve, collaborate and work towards a state of stability, prosperity and social harmony. Such words describe the nature of many more things that have been stripped off late from the free as they are forced to comply and conform to questionable standards, stereotypes, ideologies and schools of thought that serve agendas and personal interests more than anything else . It is a shame indeed to state the obvious but as I am sure people all around the world know, there is also a deliberation to slowly but surely crack down on instruments that can provide or ensure such a sense of individuality, independence and freedom. It should suffice to say that we live in an increasingly global society with its many entities that intend to exercise a greater influence in reshaping America and the American identity. Given these facts I personally feel it is not entirely fair to remark that America has failed or ceased to produce the likes of such Architects of Humanity, Thought and the collective Conscience that shapes us. It seems what we have or are in the process of building is a social machine instead. It may not impress as much and it may be a hallmark of what nullifies true Human Potential but it is still roughly comparable to a communist regime that works and extracts from its clearly designated set of parts. People are not parts, it is indeed a sad and hateful thing to enslave a person. It is kind of like capturing and fastening chains around a wild animal that was always designed and born to roam free. It is an unnatural act that is contrary to what makes us Human.

Your Life is a Gift. The Greatest Service You can do is to be Free and Fruitful in Living its Truth.

"There are one-story intellects, two-story intellects, and three-story intellects with sky-lights. All fact collectors, who have no aim beyond their facts, are one-story men. Two-story men compare, reason generalize, using the labors of the fact collectors as well as their own. Three-story men idealize, imagine, predict, their best illumination comes from above, through the skylight." ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes

The most beautiful thing that we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

What You Believe in, Serves as your path. You are Entitled to the Truth, only if You are Free to Shape and Author your beliefs, lessons and experiences with the Life that you live. No one can do what is expected of You. Your path and these steps are yours alone to walk.  '

A Comment from an Equipoised and Reasonable Centralist: How Liberals and Conservatives Write About Religion

This is a comment in response to a post I read at,

https://www.facebook.com/LearnLiberty

Usually my comments don't last very long on social media. They have a mind of their own and often strike deep and hard at the root of all things false. So I'm blogging and making a note of it :)

“Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves.” – Lord Byron

What do YOU think? Does the freedom of people depend on their ability to reason?

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=451426858222678&set=a.434963643202333.102349.187626791269354&type=1&relevant_count=1&ref=nf

Freedom from ???
Please help, this young Man needs some clarity and insight :)

No matter how wise we may think we are, those who accept their fallibility are far from fools, they are perhaps the only handful that can and may be considered remotely wise and capable of significance and intelligence. Life does not come with a promise of Liberation nor a state of Liberty. How little is the line of difference..What separates Men from Magnificent Dinosaurs. What difference does it make whether you are reasonable, irrational, a bigot, a fool or a slave if you have not known and accepted your own fallibility and the fragility of this experience called Life. Forget being anything else just try being humble. Give Humility a chance. Explore and experiment with it. It might just save the day.

If You Wish to write or argue or reason well and effectively, here are a few tips and guidelines for people of all understandings,

~ How Liberals and Conservatives Write About Religion ~

How to be a Successful Religious Affairs Journalist

"Whether you read The Guardian, The Telegraph, New Statesman or The Catholic Herald, you’re bound to stumble upon a hefty smattering of religious affairs journalism.

Whatever your belief, or lack of belief, chances are you enjoy keeping up to date with religious affairs. It may be to keep abreast of events within your own faith, or perhaps to just follow the farcical antics of other religions.

Regardless of your pre-existing viewpoint, you won’t have too much of a problem finding a piece of journalism that is conveniently tailored to your way of thinking. Indeed many recent news articles regarding the ordination of women bishops, catholic child abuse or legislation for gay marriage were spun to fit a particular point of view by the simple selection of the appropriate vernacular.

For those entrepreneurial journalists wishing to cover all bases and therefore maximize their reach, this could require rewriting each piece to tailor the language for each demographic.

In order to solve this problem I have customised the AutoCorrect feature in Microsoft Word to enable generic religious news stories to be either liberalised or conservatised to suit the target audience. The AutoCorrect function simply searches for predefined strings within the text and automatically replaces the string with the designated replacement string.

In order to liberalise your religious article, pull down the Tools menu in MS Word and select AutoCorrect. Then simply set up the function as shown in the screenshot below:

And this is what shows up for liberals,

Using Technology to Save the World One Tool..sorry...One screen shot at a time

All the trade secrets on how religion writers — depending on whether they’re liberal or conservative — edit their articles.
They just go to Microsoft Word’s AutoCorrect feature. This is what shows up for conservatives:"

P.S ~ Avoid being swayed by extremes. Try Staying Down to Earth & Centered. It can be beautiful, peaceful, blissful and It's definitely not that hard.

Best Wishes & Regards, Jai Krishna Ponnappan:)

PEACE IS THE WAY TO PEACE

Sometimes midst all this noise and chaos I feel like my words are lost, my words feel weightless and my intelligence feels insulted. Perhaps like I have often felt and concluded English for all its well intended sense of civility is an inherently deficient language that allows for only mundane and machine like messages made more primitive with time and its sticks and stones. I guess if you still try and emote the Truth it cuts like a sword regardless of the tongue.

Maybe it's better for a man such as myself to retire early, exercise reclusive spirituality and take leave into the nomadic and peaceful tranquility of the remote wilderness likened to the Himalayas. I often shared the notion with my near and Dear ones since I was a child. I guess desire is such a thing they've also wanted to see me become just like everyone and someone else rather than be and live to be as I always was meant to be.  Admire the World, savor this gift called life but don't get addicted to it, just add the sacrifices that are demanded of duty and service.

This was a post I came across on the fb page of the Hindustan Times on the 18th of Feb. 2012,
https://www.facebook.com/hindustantimes
http://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/Americas/India-Pak-Russia-China-should-wean-from-Iranian-crude-US/Article1-813199.aspx

My first response was,

"Does this translate as India, Pakistan, Russia, and China = problems ..... With or without uniforms, wars are and will always continue to taint the heart and stain the Soul with the blood of the innocent including civilians, the old, women and children. It is so crude and cruel to rob them of their lives and talk in terms of oil and gas. May God have mercy.....he is definitely not a fool nor is he blind. Life isn't perpetual so Strive for peace and you'll find an eternity full of it....."

I was quiet dissapointed with a lot of the hate speech and war mongering going on in the comments that followed, so I decided to write an exhaustive and I suppose hard hitting second response hoping that people will learn to use their minds along with their ears and loud mouths and thus be relieved and cured off of their deaf, numb and unfeeling hearts,

Here is my second response,

"Hey all you people on fb talking about glorifying war and dictating and dissecting the rule and resources of the Earth. Is life less precious than your trivial ideas, covetous and your mundane differences ? Peace is priceless, it is our birth right, who has the false authority of denying us this gift in life? It doesn't matter who he is, your father, your grandfather, your brother, your ancestors, your uncle or you your self, do you really know what it means to raise a weapon and put an end to someone's life? is killing and sinning the road to heaven or the downward spiral to sadness, a burdensome conscience and senility not clothed or protected by uniforms, blessings, medallions, badges and prayers. Would you shake hands, admire, befriend and worship the humanity in a man's heart that has murdered and taken the life of tens and hundreds in the name of war and failed attempts at civilized and peaceful coexistence, do you know of the turmoil within him and are you man enough to still glorify violence as a Godly thing. You know the monkeys in the jungle babble and bray...they eventually fight, they can't talk, they don't know of civilization, tact, diplomacy and peace negotiations. Cowards who are not man enough to face death or talk of war by sacrificing their life at its altars have no business sitting in high places and dictating and burdening the Earth with artificial wars and needless brutalities. Wars are proof we have failed as men and succeeded as brutes and beasts. Perhaps men who can't muster the strength and self discipline to reason and control their thoughts have had a very pleasant time and an undeserving drought not worrying about Hurricanes, tsunamis, storms, earthquakes and calamities unknown. Those Godly acts they can't control have fled with the failing fraternity of Mankind, even the winds and the waters know how the stench reeks of his shameless greed, pride, hate and selfishness.
Please learn to Love and Respect All Life, it's not very hard or too noble a deed and you know you are capable and blessed enough to do it......"Do onto others as you would have them do onto you"..and always remember those who live by the sword die by the sword. And if you don't practice what you preach hold your silence."

" Peace comes from being able to contribute to Peace. Peace is the way and the road that leads to Peace. Say NO to war, violence and bloodshed. Strive to pursue and stay committed to Peace from both within and without, and you'll find that an Eternity full of it eagerly awaits to greet You. " ~ Jai Krishna Ponnappan

P.S ~ The Himalayas far removed from Humanity and its chaos is in my opinion serenity personified. Yes, I guess I miss this beautiful sense of tranquility but I take an even greater and blissful joy in Selfless Service, Love and Sacrifice.....

From before,

Peace is priceless. Peace of mind can't be bought, it is hard for it to enter into even the most welcoming of hearts. But if there is one thing I strive, long and wish for every one in this world, it is PEACE.......

Peace of mind.
Peace within the Soul.
And Peace from one heart to the next.

I had posted this link and shared this message earlier on my facebook page,

My Comment: "Well, If there was someway you could put a 1000 crystal balls to work and magically uncover their ambitions and intentions, I guess you'd be shocked and petrified to say the least. Things like the Anti Satellite missile program, simulations of actual wars with neighbors and the rest of it....all while maintaining superficial paper treaties for trade, profit and temporary illusions of peace. All I can say is, Apprehensions should give way to reality checks and better preparedness, as bad as it may sound it is never too late or unreasonable to respect a possibility especially when it begins to thicken the waves that it looms in....." ~ ~Jai Krishna Ponnappan
I feel sorry...... it disturbed and troubled me to read the title of this article here on the Dailymail,

“There is no way to peace, peace is the way.”
~ A. J. Muste

Well, Dear dailymail.co.uk. Can you read my mind ? jk ;)

From deep within my heart I strongly believe that it is only in our best interest to confront, respect and embrace the Truth ..... especially when it is about all the realities that we live in. Visions and insights are most useful, effective and powerful only when they are at their precise, intuitive, intelligent and longest best :)

Here is a comment and a sincere appeal to you, the reader's higher nature in response to the above article,

So, really....Can you read my mind ?

I hope so.....Just dig into the Disadvantageous Policies, Strategic imbalance, massive Financial shifts and an unbiased summary and a consolidated view of the last 150 years of human history and world affairs. A lot has radically changed in that time, and change isn't the concern but sustainability definitely is. Apart from their increasing prominence and growth nothing has drastically changed with China, they only keep building layer upon layer, year after year. Sometimes you can't help but admire and perhaps even desire to incorporate such accelerated levels of growth and all the other industrious attributes, but a Mismatch of values, ideologies and ambitions is sadly a bit tricky to deal with. Keep in mind all of this fuels a large military, a growing arsenal and an increasingly head heavy and domineering regime.

“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”
~ Martin Luther King, Jr

Americans need to strive and prioritize retaining this country's status as a strong politically and economically stable, growing and robust super power. Education, healthcare, empowering the masses, nation building and a culture of growth should never be assumed or taken for granted, maintaining the position of a world leader is twice as hard as getting there . Rust clad broken bridges, debt ceiling dilemmas  and cities like Detroit are a painful reminder of how this country has stopped producing the same levels of skilled and economically productive men and women (across all classes including the elite) that once paved the way forward a generation or two ago. Such things should never have to be irrationally dismissed or suffer this level of unjust and deplorable neglect.

Please be more selfless and pay more attention and help ease local economies and homegrown industries into a steady period of growth and economic self sufficiency by cycling back on several fronts to the people who work to make these accomplishments a reality. Slow Recovery is understandable and acceptable but never forfeit a position of advantage that may be hard to come by again. Financial institutions and Industries such as banking need a massive but necessary overhaul that will make them more accountable, regulated and answerable. If that pill is too hard to swallow, remember that they serve as the backbone for the rest of the economy.
Once leaders and politicians get elected they must brush aside their paralyzing differences and make their commitment to America their highest objective and goal.

Super Powers that don't align in their values or cooperate rarely coexist. Where ever and what ever the cause may be, Wars are a curse that makes life in this world miserable, violent and painful. We should always do our best to explore all possibilities for peace, for peaceful coexistence, balance, trust and sensible conflict resolution. We should as a collective always try our best to avoid resorting to bloodshed, war and violence especially when we have the option of being less sinful and belligerent towards each other well within the reach of our tamable hands.

May God, Humanity and our higher natures forbid such a dark and gloomy prospect from depriving us of a more civilized, evolving and peaceful future.May God Bless America and keep this nation true to the blessing that it has been for Humanity, Hope, Liberty and Freedom and the millions who trust and embrace it.

Wishing All of Humanity Love, Peace, Prosperity, Hope and Coexistence,
Prayers, Heartfelt Love & Regards,

Jai Krishna Ponnappan
